So, I have about fifty billion and one decisions to make and they all need an answer yesterday. BLAH.
So, my dilemma has been narrowed down and I've kinda got an idea as to what I want to do but it's not decided yet. My cnoices:
- United States Naval Academy. Graduate and become a Surface Warfare Officer before filing paperwork to go into Intel (or go Marines and join Intel upon grad.)
- United States Air Force Academy: Go into Intel immediately upon graduation.
The Pros and Cons kinda balance each other out. I'm leaning towards the Naval Academy simply because it is closer to home, at this point. However, USAFA still holds a dear place in my heart becaus I attended SS there and I know a ton of people who are going there... It's hard too because I kinda feel like a traitor being in Civil Air Patrol. Like all gung-ho Air Force then "oh yeah, I'm joining the Navy" - it feels weird.
So that's my big dilemma at the moment.
On another note, Sen. Carper called my house the other day and told me that he thought I should go to Annapolis and he thought he'd call because he heard I was leaning USAFA...lol. And he also wanted to ask me to speak at his Academy Night on the 17th of February. It's a big night he has in Dover where he invites ALOs from all over the state and recruiting officers from each of the service academies and branches of the military. Even ROTC, NatGuard and CAP are there. :D
I have a ton of calculus and physics to do. I can't really decide how many lessons to do per day. I think it's like 2 a day in Physics and at least 2 a day for Calc but preferably 3...plus chapter tests... And I still have to read "Macbeth" for British Literature and do Vocab. woot. woot. :P

I have to make a decision by Monday on where I'm going to college. Here are my choices:
US Naval Academy - have LOA and nomination, still waiting on Acceptance Package.
US Air Force Academy - have LOA and 2 nominations, still waiting on Acceptance Package.
UD with AFROTC - have acceptance to UD, have been offered a Type 1 scholarship (w/o seeing the board).

I have decided boys are too complicated.
I have also decided that my decision to not date until college was a good decision.
I have finally decided that based on my second decision, I should be very annoying to guys while in high school so they won't ask me out.
And last of all, I have decided that I should avoid guys with girlfriends because even though it seems like we can be friends because they are already attached to someone, we can't. Because we can't. And because it always gets messed up.

I got my complete order from Barnes and Noble today. I have this truly lovely volume of Jane Austen's complete and unabridged works as well as a 100th anniversary edition of Baroness Orczy's "The Scarlet Pimpernel" which is almost my favorite story.
I love reading. It's a true passion of mine. There's so much you can imagine and dream in books. I even make up my own endings and side stories with minor characters (in my head of course).

Life
So, life continues for me. I am almost finished with a few of my classes already. That'd mean only physics, calculus, and literature left until the end of May. Easy peasy pumpkin easy.
Work was okay. Kinda dull.
I've been really tired lately - probably need more sleep. I get too caught up in my books and then I forget to go to bed until almost 1 or 2 am, lol. Kinda silly but it's a good book! It's A Perfect Spy by John Lé Carre. He's a fantastic author when it comes to spy thrillers.
It seems that life just continues on and on... To quote Mansfield Park, "Life seems nothing more than a quick succession of busy nothings.
